The Homer & Jane Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established by PSTOS in the early 1990s and later named for Homer and Jane Johnson as a tribute to their lifelong encouragement of youth and music, this program provides financial assistance to young organ students who meet defined criteria. Its goal is to encourage the development of interest and expertise in the pipe organ in general and theatre pipe organ in particular among young organists. The program is funded by members’ generous contributions, and by fund raising events such as benefit concerts. To date the program has supported no more than one young organist at a time, and has operated in the black each year.
