Laverne was organist at Seattle's Ridge Rink in the 1960's. She got her start at Seattle's Blue Mouse Theatre where she played silents for four years. She also played at the Raymond Theatre in Raymond, Washington and the large Page organ at the Casino on Catalina Island off the coast of Los Angeles.
