Frank Chidester at a PSTOS "open console" event, June 1999 at Tacoma Pizza & Pipes.
Frank is 86 and still playing! At a recent PSTOS open console event, he recalled his lessons at the Temple Theatre, and playing at the Sunset and "K" Street Theatres in Tacoma before "talkies" arrived. He played at the Tumwater Roller Rink in 1946, and at the Tacoma Roller Bowl. He's had his turn at the Pantages and Rialto Theatres, and at Steve's Gay 90's. He also played organ, piano and accordion for several years at The Top Of The Ocean. He would play the organ with one hand and the piano with the other! Frank now lives in a retirement home next to the Temple Theatre. How appropriate!
