Organ installation timeframe: 1960's - 1971

Back to the Northwest Theatre Organ History: Residences page

Virginia Lawrence lived in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle. Her instrument started as a two-manual Robert Morton. In the late 60's and early 70's, a third manual was added to the blond-finish console using Reisner note relays and switches similar to a design used by Balcom & Vaughan.

Virginia died in 1971 shortly before the ATOS National convention in Seattle. The organ was bought by Dick Schrum and stored. It was later sold to a party in Oregon. It is still intact.
