Eddie Zollman at the KOMO studios, c.1939

The KOMO Radio studios were located in the Skinner Building, downtown Seattle. The organ was installed by Balcom & Vaughan in September 1939 and was based around a 2/7 Wurlitzer instrument originally from West Seattle's Granada (Egyptian) Theatre, opus 1194. The console was enlarged to three-manuals and several ranks were added.

In 1961, Balcom & Vaughan removed the instrument from the station and installed it in the Des Moines residence of Bennett Fisher. Interestingly, Mr. Fisher was an heir to the Fisher Flour Mills Co. founded by Oliver William Fisher in 1910. The family owned a majority share of KOMO Radio.
