Frankin High School, c. 1912
Franklin High School on Mt. Baker Blvd. was built in 1912. At the time it was built, the building had 42 classrooms, two gymnasiums, a library, an auditorium and a lunch room. It also had a complete model apartment for use by home economics classes.

Franklin's pipe organ was originally a 2/9 Kimball (opus #6760) from Everett's New Everett Theatre. In 1953, the instrument was removed from the theatre and in 1956 it was installed in Queen Anne High School as B&V opus #620. In the early 1980's Queen Anne High School closed and was converted to apartments. Fortunately, the organ was removed, rebuilt and installed by Balcom & Vaughan at Franklin High School.

PSTOS has sponsored several educational events at the school based around the Kimball pipe organ. The Principal and other faculty have expressed great interest in the organ.
