Cheerio Theatre, c.1926

Stradley's Cheerio Theatre originally had a 2/5 Kimball (opus #6805) installed in 1925. According to Jim Stettner, the organ exists entirely intact (including its 25 note Deagan chimes, but sans toy counter) at the United Methodist Church in Aberdeen. It was moved there by Balcom and Provorse in 1930 to the church's previous location on First and "F" Streets. It was moved to the present location on Second and Broadway by Richard Warburton (date unknown).

In 1929, the Cheerio Theatre was renamed "Queen Anne," after the original theatre of that name closed its doors.

Records indicate that the Cheerio had at least two staff organists in the 1925-26 timeframe: Mark Dolliver and Martha Foosness.

The Cheerio Theatre building, barely recognizable in 2002

The Cheerio Theatre building was demolished in September, 2004. A condominum is planned for the popular Queen Anne Avenue location.
