The Dominion Theatre opened in 1909 and was designed by prolific Vancouver architectural firm Parr & Fee.
 

News item in Exhibitors Trade Review (later known as Motion Picture Daily) December 3, 1921 (p778).
 
The news item shown above states that Julian Haywood was an organist at the Dominion Theatre in 1921. The organ may have been a smaller, orchestra pit-type organ. No further information about the instrument is available.

According to Graeme McBain posting to cinematreasures.com, the house was renamed Downtown Theatre in 1967. It closed in 1988 and stood vacant for six years until it changed owernship and reopened on December 26, 1992 as the Caprice Showcase Theatre. Today the theatre operates as a nightclub retaining the Caprice name.
